Library and Campaigns

Once you have built a map in the Map Editor, the Library is where it lives β€” and where you turn a pile of maps into a proper campaign.

The πŸ—‚ Map Library

The Map Library is a card grid of your saved maps. Each card shows a thumbnail plus the map’s size, player count, and author, along with biome and difficulty chips and any tags you have added. You can search, sort, and filter by tag to find what you need.

Each map card offers a set of actions:

  • Open β€” load the map back into the editor.
  • Test β€” launch straight into a Test Play.
  • Rename β€” change the map’s name.
  • Copy β€” duplicate the map.
  • Version History β€” browse and restore earlier saves.
  • Export β€” write the map out to a file.
  • Delete β€” remove the map.

Export and Import

You can Export and Import maps as JSON files, which makes them easy to back up or hand to another player. Work-in-progress drafts autosave locally, so you won’t lose progress between sessions.

The πŸ“– Campaign Designer

Opened from the Library, the Campaign Designer strings maps together into a numbered campaign. For it, you can:

  • Arrange maps into a numbered mission order, and reorder them freely.
  • Write a briefing for each mission.
  • Set unlock rules for each mission: unlock after the previous mission, always, or after any earlier mission.
  • Mark missions beaten as you test your campaign.

Custom campaigns are played from the game’s Campaign menu. For how campaigns fit alongside the other ways to play, see Multiplayer and Scenarios and Triggers.
