Development Roadmap
Warigami is currently in active development. This page tracks the development progress and upcoming features.
Current Version
Alpha 0.3.3 — Last updated July 2026. See the Update Log for release-by-release highlights.
Completed Features
- Core RTS engine (unit movement, selection, commands)
- Resource gathering and refining (Paper, Pencilcore, Pitch — refined into Parchment)
- Building construction, production queues, research, and upgrades
- All thirteen unit types and their abilities
- Folding-based unit and building production
- Full-economy AI opponent with per-team difficulty
- Terrain system (elevation and cliffs, ramps, water and bridges, mountains)
- Traveling storm weather and fog of war
- LAN multiplayer (up to 6 players / 12 teams, alliances, procedural maps)
- Map Editor, trigger/scenario system, and campaign designer
- Tutorial scenario (“The First Crease”)
- Camera controls, minimap, and control groups / platoons
- Voice lines and sound

- Advanced AI strategy depth

Known Issues
- Pathfinding can occasionally route units around dense resource clusters suboptimally
- Cross-machine multiplayer determinism is still being validated on varied hardware
- Some map-editor polish items remain (see the in-editor Problems panel for map-specific warnings)
How to Report Bugs
Press Ctrl+B in game to open the built-in bug and feedback form, or reach out through our community channels. Include:
- What you were doing when the bug occurred
- What you expected to happen
- What actually happened
- A screenshot or video if possible
