Pantry
The Pantry is a forward supply store and drop-off. It holds a big 800 Paper and a deep 250 each of Pencilcore and Pitch, shelters up to 5 workers, and researches two worker upgrades β letting you push your gathering lines out from the Palace without long hauls back to base. Its enclosed storehouse silhouette (a walled hut with a gabled roof and a loading dock) is easy to tell apart from the open-tent Pavilion.
Storage & Shelter
- Drop-off for all resources; holds 800 Paper plus 250 each of Pencilcore and Pitch β a deep buffer, especially for non-Paper goods.
- A raw store first β it does not hoard refined Parchment, so Pushers wonβt trek across the map to top up every forward Pantry. It still receives Parchment on demand when you queue one of its own upgrades.
- Shelters up to 5 workers.
- Gives good vision over its position.
Upgrades
Bought on the Pantryβs own card (Pushers deliver the Parchment, then it installs):
- Practiced Pickers β Pickers harvest Paper 35% faster and carry 50% more per trip.
- Keen Prospectors β Prospectors mine Pencilcore and Pitch 40% faster and carry 50% more per trip.
Both are team-wide β buy each once and every Picker or Prospector benefits.
Strategy
Plant a Pantry near a distant Pylon patch, Pencilcore Pit, or Pitch Pool so your Pickers drop off close to the node instead of trudging home. Its deep non-Paper storage makes it the natural bank for a Pencilcore or Pitch expansion. It doubles as a forward staging shelter and vision post, and its worker upgrades pay for themselves across a whole gathering economy. Cheap and quick to raise, Pantries are the backbone of an expanding economy β seed them along every resource line you claim.
