Proteges

Proteges are Pupils who have mastered the fold — veteran duelists AND elite folders, able to fold everything the Prime can, including advanced structures and troops. They cost more and take longer to raise, but a squad of Proteges can turn the tide of battle. Proteges require a Printworks.

Abilities

• Blade Refold — The Protege recreases the blade, gaining +40% damage for 6 seconds. Cooldown: 25s.

Strategy

Proteges are your main damage dealers and a mobile second folder for advanced structures and troops in the field. They pair well with Patchers for healing and Pikemen for a balanced front line. Open engagements with Blade Refold for maximum burst. They are vulnerable to Pelter and Plaguebearer fire, so close the distance quickly.
