Paper

Paper is the primary and most fundamental resource in Warigami. It is used for every unit and building in the game. Paper is harvested from Paper Groves — clusters of tall, tree-like paper formations scattered across the map.

Gathering

  • Harvested by Paper Pickers
  • Each trip yields 5 Paper
  • Paper Groves contain 500 Paper each before depletion
  • Depleted groves slowly regenerate over time (2 Paper/minute)

Uses

Paper is required for:

  • All unit production
  • All building construction
  • All upgrades (in combination with other resources)
  • Refining into Paperboard and Parchment at the Paper Plant

Strategy

Secure at least 2-3 Paper Groves early in the game. Paper Groves closer to your base are safer but may deplete faster. Consider expanding to contested groves in the mid game for a resource advantage. Always maintain a surplus of Paper — running out halts your entire economy.
